NEED MORE ARTICLES? Try this excellent source: The Dog Owner's Guide. I haven't gotten around to reading it all--it's an exhaustive amount of information--but what I've read so far is right on the money, especially the stuff about breeding. It's also well indexed, and loads fast because there aren't any pictures that I can find.

These gems by writer Jon Katz are pretty thought-provoking. I don't agree with most of what Katz has written since his book The New Work of Dogs. But these are older, and therefore, good.
